The former Liberace Museum in Las Vegas, NV closed its doors in October 2010.
The former Liberace Museum housed a magnificent collection of grand pianos, exotic automobiles, jewelry and elaborate costumes that established Liberace as the legendary "Mr. Showmanship"!
The Liberace Museum served to preserve the vast collection Liberace left in his estate after his death in 1987, while honoring his philanthropic legacy, which he considered to be his greatest achievement.
The non-profit Liberace Museum founded by Liberace himself in 1979 functioned under the not-for-profit charitable "Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts", a most worthy scholarship fund!
Since its beginning, The Liberace Foundation awarded many millions of dollars in scholarships to countless university students nationwide and in all disciplines of the Arts. It is truly amazing how many students from all over the nation benefited from these scholarships.
The Board of Directors of The Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts and The Liberace Museum applauds the work of Steve Garey and has given him their written gratitude and endorsement.
